Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited school of surgical technology or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of surgical experience in at least two specialties preferred.
• BLS certification through an accredited program; CST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scrub activities with aseptic technique and infection control.
• Prepares and uses equipment, instrumentation, and supplies for procedures.
• Operates and maintains equipment; reports malfunctions.
• Sets up the sterile field for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Maintains updated preference cards and efficient clinical information use.
• Demonstrates reliable attendance and adheres to hospital policies.
