Job summary

Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Kansas is seeking a Surgical Technologist II PRN to support our operating rooms. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist during procedures, and work with a skilled team to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Required qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, completion of a surgical tech program or training with 3 years of experience, and at least two years of surgical scrubbing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Completion of surgical tech program or surg tech training with evidence of 3 years exp.
• Minimum of two years of surgical scrubbing experience.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures.
• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs
• Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns
• Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment
