Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Surgical Technologist II for PRN opportunities. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist during operations, and collaborate with a skilled team using modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT).
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA preferred.
• BLS from AHA or Red Cross required upon hire.
• Must be competent to perform as first scrub in Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping.
• Scrub in and provide instruments, handle specimens, and anticipate team needs.
• Monitor patients and equipment during procedures and respond to concerns.
• Uphold sterile technique and support a high-performing, collaborative team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures
• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team's needs
• Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns
• Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
• In addition to meeting the requirements of an OR Tech I position, must also be competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery.
