Job summary

Cypress Surgery Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a PRN role working under physicians and/or registered nurses. The incumbent will scrub, set up the OR, and assist during operations while ensuring sterile technique and patient safety.

Responsibilities include equipment prep, patient preparation, assisting surgical teams, maintaining supplies, and supporting recovery room turnover. Requires graduation from an accredited program and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be CPR certified with 0–2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up operating room with instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures and prepares skin and equipment.
• Assemble and check sterile and non-sterile supplies and adjust equipment.
• Get patients ready for surgery, assist with positioning and draping.
• Observe vitals, assist with gowns, gloves, and sterile team protocols.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons; help count sponges and needles.
• Assist with specimen handling, dressing application, and post-op room turnover.
