Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. Cypress Surgery Center in Wichita, KS is seeking a Surgical Technologist in a PRN role to support the operating room team.

Under supervision of physicians and RNs, you will prepare equipment, assist with setup, handle sterile technique, and help with patient care before, during, and after procedures.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited program and CPR certification; prior clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions before operations.
• Tend to patient during pre-operation procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and verify proper operation.
• Assist with patient prep, including skin prep and positioning.
• Pass instruments to surgeons and assistants during procedures.
• Help transfer patients to recovery and restock the OR after operations.
• Follow regulations and procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
