Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas seeks a Surgical Technologist to join a surgical team. You will maintain aseptic technique, assist in assembly, setup, and breakdown of the sterile field, and provide instruments and supplies to the team.

Requirements include Associate degree preferred, or graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program, BLS, and 1+ year OR experience; must be proficient in English and knowledgeable in sterile technique, disinfection, and safety standards.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills [Preferred].

Responsibilities

• Provides a safe physical environment and adheres to protocols in the operating room and sterile processing.
• Maintains aseptic technique at all times and supports the surgical team with instruments and supplies.
• Assists in assembly, setup, maintenance, and breakdown of the sterile field.
• Participates in the care of the surgical patient and collaborates with the team.
