Job summary

AdventHealth in Shawnee, KS is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will assist in sterile processing, set up, provide instruments and supplies, and support the surgical team during procedures to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides and maintains a safe physical environment in the operating room and sterile processing.
• Follows department and hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintains aseptic technique at all times.
• Collaborates as a member of the surgical team and assists in the setup, maintenance and breakdown of the sterile field.
• Provides necessary instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures.
• Participates in care of the surgical patient.
• Performs duties in a timely and efficient manner.
