Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 to assist the surgical team under a Registered Nurse's supervision. You will scrub in, prepare instruments, and ensure the operating room is ready and functioning safely.

The role requires completion of an accredited surgical technologist program and CST certification or equivalent; military/Public Health Service training accepted; benefits and sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - BLS required
• Cert Surgical Technologist (CST) certification per NBSTSA/NCCT or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Discuss special needs with the surgeon before surgery and scrub in on time.
• Prepare operative site by aseptically cleaning and clipping as needed.
• Set up operating room and organize instrument table to avoid delays.
• Ensure proper functioning of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with draping and positioning the patient and handling specimens after procedures
