Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Certification as CST by NBSTSA or equivalent is required or must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team to prepare the sterile field and set up instruments.
• Pass sterile supplies and instruments to surgeons during procedures.
• Maintain instrument counts and ensure proper decontamination and handling of equipment.
• Follow infection control policies and AORN/OSHA guidelines to ensure patient safety.
• Prepare and clean operating room and equipment after each case.
