Job summary

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification as CST or equivalent required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in surgical technology.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Scrub into surgery and prepare instruments before the surgeon operates.
• Prepare and maintain instrument tables and trays.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts and assist with draping and patient positioning.
• Assist with specimen handling and final wound dressing preparation.
• Follow infection control policies and regulatory guidelines.
