VCU Health System Authority is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to set up sterile fields, prepare supplies, and pass instruments to surgeons during procedures. The role also involves counting and ensuring policy compliance, with opportunities to mentor less experienced staff.

Requirements include Virginia certification and a CST/TS-C/CORST or equivalent, plus a minimum of six months’ scrub tech experience. The position includes rotating shifts with on-call responsibilities after orientation.

Formación

• Must be CST/TS-C/CORST or eligible and registered in Virginia.
• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Surgical Technologist or related scrub tech position.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or military training program or LPN program.

Responsabilidades

• Sets up sterile field and gathers supplies for surgical cases.
• Passes instruments to surgeons during surgery.
• Performs count procedures per policy during surgical cases.
• Serves as a resource and preceptor to less experienced Surgical Technologists.
• Takes call for routine and high acuity cases after orientation period.
• Rotating shifts; weekends and holidays; schedules set with Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator.
