Job summary

The position serves as a resource and on-call team member after orientation. Licensure/Certification required: CST or TS-C/CORST with Virginia Board of Medicine registration; minimum 6 months scrub tech experience; high school diploma or surgical tech program graduate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months experience as a Surgical Technologist or related scrub tech position.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or TS-C or CORST certification required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up sterile field and gathers supplies for surgical cases.
• Passes instruments to surgeons during surgery.
• Performs count procedures per policy during cases.
• Acts as resource and preceptor to less experienced Surgical Technologists and participates in on-call duties.
