Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. Under supervision, you will scrub for basic and complex procedures, prepare the operating room, assemble instruments, and help maintain sterile technique.

You will also assist with training Surgical Tech IIs and IIIs and ensure supplies meet surgeon preferences. Responsibilities include counting instruments, monitoring supplies, and aiding in decontamination and room turnover.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years as Surgical Technologist.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Reading, writing, speaking English.
• Basic Life Support (AHA)
• Attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Scrub for complex and basic surgical procedures.
• Assemble packs, supplies and instruments; prepare OR for surgery.
• Inspect instruments and equipment; ensure sterile technique.
• Assist with sterile preps and contamination control.
• Restock and organize room; assist in end-of-shift turnover.
• Provide training/mentoring to Surgical Technologist IIs/IIIs.
