Job summary

Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technology professional to join the operating room team. You will assist with aseptic preparation, set up the room for each case, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.

Candidate must complete an accredited Surgical Technology program and obtain Basic Life Support within 6 months. Prior experience is not required, and you will work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in preparation of materials, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment used in the operating room.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean, safe, and efficient operating area for optimal patient care.
• Assists in various surgical procedures and positions the patient as needed.
• Sets up and disassembles the OR, moves equipment, and supplies.
• Maintains sterile field and passes instruments during procedures.
• Follows safety protocols and reports equipment issues.
