Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann's is seeking a Surgical Technician (Surg Tech) to join our inpatient surgery team on the day shift. Under RN supervision, you will assist in the operating room, set up the surgical field, and help the surgeon during procedures.

The role requires graduation from a surgical technology program, certification (NBSTSA/NCCT) or nursing school graduate, plus BLS, with a focus on patient safety and sterile technique in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program with current BLS certification.
• Certification as a surgical technologist (NBSTSA/NCCT) or graduate of a practical nursing program.
• Current license to practice as a practical nurse in Ohio if from PN program.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting surgery department goals (room turnover, on-time starts).
• Assist in training/orientation of associates as directed by Clinical Educator.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and ensure sterile techniques.
