Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Surgical Technician (Surg Tech) for Inpatient Surgery at Mount Carmel St. Ann's. Under RN supervision, you will set up and maintain the surgical field and assist the surgeon during procedures.

Responsibilities include supporting the surgery department with timely start times, providing patient-centered care, and maintaining sterile techniques in a safety-focused environment. BLS certification and surgical tech credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program.
• Certificate of surgical technology through NBSTSA or NCCT, or graduate of a practical nursing program.
• BLS healthcare provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting goals for surgery department, including room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
• Assist in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator.
• Maintain a safe environment for the patient.
• Maintain sterile techniques.

Surgical technology program / NBSTSA/NCCT certificate or PN licensure
