Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the surgical team under the direction of an RN. The role includes setting up the surgical field and assisting during operative procedures to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program or nursing program with NBSTSA/NCCT certification.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in meeting goals and initiatives for the surgery department (e.g., room turnover and first-case on-time starts).
• Assists in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator.
• Maintains a safe environment for the patient.
• Maintains sterile techniques.

Education

Graduate of a surgical technology program, certificate through NBSTSA/NCCT or graduate of a school of practical nursing
