Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the surgical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will help set up the sterile field and assist during operative procedures, ensuring patient safety and a clean, efficient operating environment.

This full-time, 12-hour day shift role offers comprehensive benefits, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth within our Ohio hospitals and surgical services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program; holds a certificate of surgical technology (NBSTSA/NCCT) or graduate of a school of practical nursing.
• Current license to practice as a practical nurse in Ohio if trained as a PN.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and maintaining the surgical field.
• Assist the surgeon during operative procedures under RN direction.
• Maintain sterile techniques and safe patient environment.
• Support room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
