Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's Lahey Clinic in Peabody, MA is seeking a Surgical Technologist (ST) for a part-time, 20 hours per week Day shift. The role supports the surgical team, passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field, while contributing to quality initiatives and teaching staff and students.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited program; certification preferred with certification within one month of hire; and more than one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program.
• Certification preferred; new hires must obtain certification within one month of hire.
• Greater than one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Circulating nurse with setup for procedures and instrument handling.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon at the sterile field and maintain asepsis.
• Maintain care and counts of instruments, sponge, and sharps.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and department safety initiatives.
• Adhere to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center policies and patient care standards.
• On-call duties for specified nights, weekends, and holidays.
