Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will set up and maintain the surgical field and assist the surgeon during procedures, ensuring patient care aligns with each person’s physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

The role emphasizes sterile technique, room turnover, and on-time starts, with opportunities for training and development within a renowned health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program with NBSTSA/NCCT certification
• Current Ohio practical nursing license if PN graduate
• BLS healthcare provider certification required

Responsibilities

• Assist in achieving OR goals including turnover and first-case on-time starts
• Assist in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator
• Maintain a safe environment for the patient
• Maintain sterile techniques
