Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the Day Shift team at Mount Carmel East. You will assist the RN in preparing and maintaining the surgical field and support the surgeon during procedures, delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate graduates from a surgical technology program (or PN) and holds relevant licensure or certification, with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technology program or licensed practical nurse with PN license.
• Certificate of Surgical Technology through NBSTSA or NCCT accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting surgery department goals, including room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
• Assist in training/orientation of associates per the Clinical Educator.
• Maintain a safe environment for the patient.
• Maintain sterile techniques.
