Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Frisco at PGA Parkway is seeking a Surgical Technologist 2 for PRN Day shifts with rotating call and weekend requirements. A one-week orientation is required, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm. Must have 2 years of CST experience and be proficient in sterile technique and OR support.

Qualifications

• 2 years of CST experience required.
• 2+ years experience in surgical technologist role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Discuss special needs with the surgeon before surgery.
• Scrub into surgery and prepare instruments.
• Prepare and maintain instrument table.
• Identify damaged or incomplete trays and rectify discrepancies.
• Set up operating room for specified procedure and ensure sterile supplies.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Perform surgical counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Assist with draping and positioning of the patient.
• Receive surgical specimens following protocol and handle specimens properly.
• Prepare and place surgical dressings after cases.
