Job summary

Baylor University Medical Center- Dallas, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is hiring a Surgical Technologist 2 for the OR Orthopedics unit. This full-time, day-shift position supports the surgical team under a Registered Nurse's supervision.

You will prepare instrumentation, assist with draping and positioning, perform counts, maintain sterile technique, and ensure equipment readiness. On-call duties apply per schedule and CST certification or equivalent training is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized surgical technologist program.
• Current CST certification or equivalent training is required or expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team before and during procedures.
• Prepare and maintain sterile operating room setup.
• Perform surgical counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment during surgery.
• Follow infection control policies and aseptic techniques.
