Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Health in Frisco, TX is seeking a Surgical Technologist II to support the operating room team under RN supervision. The role requires recent CST experience and active certification.

You will scrub into cases, prepare and maintain instruments, assist with patient positioning, and ensure sterile technique and instrument counts. A mandatory one-week orientation Monday–Friday 8am–5pm is part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Less than 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of hire.
• CST certification required (NBSTSA/NCCT).
• Possesses knowledge of sterile technique and operating room instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Discuss special needs with the surgeon before surgery and scrub in on time.
• Prepare operative site and instruments as needed.
• Maintain organized instrument table and ensure correct counts.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments during procedures.
• Assist with draping, patient positioning, and passing supplies to the team.
• Receive surgical specimens and handle sterile workflow per protocol.
• Clean and decontaminate instruments and operating room after cases.
• Follow infection control policies and regulatory guidelines.
