Job summary

Optim is seeking a Surgical Technician (PRN) in Savannah, GA to assist in the operating room and maintain aseptic conditions. Part-time as needed, with responsibilities including room setup, instrument handling, and intraoperative support.

The role requires graduation from a surgical technologist program and NBSTA certification is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior OR experience is beneficial; training and professional development are provided in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• NBSTA Certification as a surgical technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room for procedures with instruments and supplies.
• Assists surgeons during procedures and maintains aseptic technique.
• Responds to surgical team needs and documents counts and specimen handling.
• Cleans and restocks rooms between cases; monitors equipment and sterility.
• Follows OSC policies and participates in drills.

Education
