Job summary

You will work under the Surgical Nurse Manager, perform duties with attention to asepsis per AORN/AAMI standards, and participate in routine drills and professional development. NBSTA certification is preferred, with high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• NBSTA Certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room and assemble supplies for procedures.
• Assist in cleaning rooms between procedures and after schedule.
• Monitor and maintain instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain asepsis knowledge per AORN/AAMI standards.
• Count sponge, needle, instruments with circulating nurse.
• Identify and preserve specimens received during surgery.
• Report issues or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
