Job summary

Northwest ENT and Allergy Center is seeking a Surgical Technician to support surgeons in operative and invasive procedures. You will prepare the OR, sterilize instruments, and assist intraoperatively to ensure smooth procedural flow.

The role requires accuracy in counts, adherence to aseptic techniques, and strong teamwork. Minimum one year in the operating room is required, with current OR technician and BCLS certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Operating Room Technician Certification required.
• BCLS Certification required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the operating room.
• Basic computer skills are expected.
• Excellent bedside manners and patient interaction abilities.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Sense of urgency and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry instrument trays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with all necessary instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain a sterile instrument table and standard setup for efficiency.
• Assist surgeons intraoperatively by anticipating needs and ensuring smooth flow.
• Accurately complete counts and report discrepancies.
• Clean and sterilize instruments following protocols.
• Follow aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
• Monitor inventory levels of instruments and supplies.
• Assist in patient positioning, prepping, and draping.
• Ensure compliance with laws, AAOA, and company policies.
• Document procedures and patient interactions per guidelines.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
