Qualifications

• BLS - CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and identifies equipment and supplies for all cases assigned.
• Identifies potential or real problems that need immediate correction or attention.
• Sets up table, instruments and supplies according to procedure and physician's preference cards.
• Assists in positioning and draping of patient.
• Maintains aseptic technique throughout procedure.
• Maintains readiness for emergencies and the need to assist the surgeon, if necessary.
• Coordinates use of supplies and equipment for intraoperative care with other staff.
• Opens supplies; counts with RN; assist anesthesia as needed.
