Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC seeks a Surgical Tech for PRN Day shift to assist the surgical team with instrument preparation, aseptic technique, and room turnover. The role involves supporting physicians, staff, and patients while maintaining strict safety and regulatory standards.

Requires certification and experience in surgical instrumentation, excellent communication, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic OR environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology preferred.
• Requires BLS CPR certification and CST-related credentials.
• Experience in operating room support and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates needs of the surgeon and informs circulating nurse.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications before procedures.
• Supports satisfaction activities and maintains relationships with staff and physicians.
• Monitors aseptic technique and corrects any breaches.
• Supervises team members and assists with orientation and training.
• Promotes safety and handles emergencies per policy.
• Assists with OR turnover and room turnover efficiency.
