Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support operating room activities. You will anticipate surgeon needs, prepare instruments, assist with turnover, and help maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.

The role requires BLS and CST certification (or NBSTSA/NTSC equivalent) with strong teamwork and attention to detail in a fast-paced surgical environment. Full-time on-site position with sign-on opportunities is available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• State CST certification or NBSTSA/NTSC equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and informs circulating nurse during procedures.
• Maintains high standards for cost containment and patient safety.
• Assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures.
• Supports staff satisfaction and collaborates with physicians and departments.
• Ensures aseptic technique and proper infection control throughout the OR.
• Assists with OR turnover times and directs ancillary personnel as needed.
