Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Tech for the Ortho/Neuro Operating Room. The role requires a minimum of one year post-graduation experience from an accredited Surgical Tech program, with a 10K sign-on bonus for 2+ years of experience.

Schedule is full-time, with day shift. Responsibilities include scrubbing, instrument setup, assisting in procedures, maintaining counts, and transporting patients in the OR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of surgical assistance experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; Surgical Technician Certification required; additional certifications may be required per department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preoperative setup: instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Scrub and assist team in gowning and gloving.
• Provide instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain instrument, suture, and sponge counts.
• Transport patients to/from OR and position for surgery.
• Decontaminate and set up instruments per policy.
• Communicate with team to ensure high-quality care.
