Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician for the Ortho/Neuro Operating Room. The role requires completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program and a current BLS certificate, with preference for one year of surgical assistance experience.

Full-time, day shift. The selected candidate will assist in preoperative setup, instrument handling, specimen care, and maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures in a high-paced OR environment.

Competenze

• Completion of accredited Surgical Tech Program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate required.
• 1 year of surgical assistance experience preferred, but not required.

Mansioni

• Monitors high risk and complex cases and takes appropriate actions.
• Prepares rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists in identifying, collecting, and caring for specimens.
• Maintains correct count of instruments, sutures, and sponges.
• Transports patients to and from the Operating Room; positions patients for surgery.
• Opens sterile supplies and sets up for procedures.
