Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a Surgical Technician for day shift, full-time. You will assist surgeons in the operating room, hand sterile instruments, and ensure patient safety under RN supervision.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technology program, BLS, and at least six months OR experience. A sign-on bonus up to $15,000 is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or clinical-based program.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and medical equipment.
• Six months of OR or ambulatory surgery experience.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons with procedures in the operating room under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, conveying sterile instruments and supplies.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
