Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a Surgical Tech to assist with direct patient care in the Operating Room, prepare the OR, and stock sterile supplies.

You will set sterile instrument fields, maintain aseptic technique, and participate in staff orientation and departmental committees. The role requires teamwork, clear English communication, and the ability to manage a busy surgical workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Six months acute care OR Tech experience or graduate from an accredited OR Tech program required.
• Ability to perform duties with skill, knowledge and reliability.
• Strong customer service and communication skills in English.
• Ability to maintain a productive work pace and collaborate across the health system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interdepartmental relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room.
• Prepare and stock the OR before and after surgery; gather clean and sterile supplies.
• Set sterile instrument fields and maintain aseptic techniques.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and participate on departmental committees.
