Qualifications

• Currently in an accredited surgical technician program or recent graduate pending CST certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; good verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room preparing the room for surgery, including opening sterile packages and gathering supplies.
• Scrub for surgeries and assist physicians by handing instruments and retractors.
• Assist with patient positioning on the OR table and transport as directed by RN or surgeon.
• Order and stock supplies, maintain sterile technique, and ensure safety and cleanliness of the OR.
• Support aseptic practices and assist in preparing the sterile field for procedures.
