Job summary

SCA Health in Houston, TX is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to scrub during operative procedures and assist with instrument processing. The CST prepares the sterile field, passes instruments, and helps maintain a safe operating room.

A High School diploma, accredited CST program, and BLS within 90 days are required or in progress. Experience is preferred; current CST certification is also preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized CST program.
• Prior experience as CST preferred.
• Current CST certification preferred.
• BLS course completed within 90 days or current certification.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
