Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team in Wisconsin. The role supports the surgical team to provide safe, high-quality patient care and contributes to the hospital's mission and patient outcomes.

The position requires at least 1 year of surgical experience, a certified Surgical Technologist, and completion of the recognized training program. You will work four 10-hour shifts with on-call responsibilities and a potential $10k bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of surgical experience is required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program or approved equivalent is required.
• Ability to cover weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide patient care aligned with goals and hospital mission.
• Assist in sterile technique and instrument handling during procedures.
• Support orientation with a 30-day rotation in PM shift.
• Contribute to a positive, efficient operating room environment.

Schedule:

Primarily four, 10-hour shifts (8:00am - 6:30pm) with occasional early PM shift to cover colleagues' PTO (advanced notification provided). Responsible for weeknight, weekend and holiday on-call rotation. Orientation will include a 30-day rotation on PM shift.

Job Summary:

As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patient insuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out.

Experience Description:

A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience is required. Experience can come in any combination in a role as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician.

Education Description:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education, certification or diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.

Licensure Description:

Certification as a Surgical Technologist. Surgical Technologist Level 3 staff, or above, with a date of hire or adjusted date of hire prior to 8/1/2020 are not required to be certified, as long as they meet the criteria in the job description. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
