Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee seeks a Surgical Technologist/Technician to support the surgical team and ensure patient goals are met within the hospital mission.

Requires at least 1 year of surgical experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a surgical technologist program or equivalent training. On-call rotations and PM shift apply.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience required (Surgical Technologist/Technician).
• Post high school education or certification required (Surgical Technologist program).
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 90 days of hire.

Schedule: PM shift; holiday and weekend rotation on-call requirement

Job Summary:

As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patient insuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 1 year of Surgical experience is required. Experience can come in any combination in a role as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education, certification or diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
