Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program or military/Public Health Service training.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required by a recognized body.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room, gather supplies and equipment, maintain sterile field.
• Assist surgeon by handing instruments and supplies during surgery.
• Monitor sterile field and ensure equipment is functioning safely.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality; uphold patient rights and ethical considerations.
• Contribute to efficient turnover by organizing instruments and kits for next cases.
