Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician II to join OR West. The role supports surgical teams across a wide range of procedures, maintains sterile technique, prepares the operating room, and assists with instrumentation and specimen handling.

The position requires CST and BLS, 1–3 years of experience, and the ability to work flexible shifts with on-call coverage in a fast-paced trauma setting.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Certificate 1 Cert Surg Tech (CST) is required.
• Certificate 2 Basic Life Support is required.
• 1-3 years related work experience is required.
• Graduate of an accredited education program for surgical technologists or military/public health service training.
• Maintain a certified surgical technologist credential.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with the circulating nurse to prepare OR and instruments.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Assist in passing instruments, suturing prep, and specimen handling.
• Support turnover efficiency and prioritize equipment and instrumentation for upcoming cases.
• Recognize and report issues impacting patient safety and privacy.
