Job summary

Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an OR Tech I to join the Operating Room team. The role supports the surgical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse and collaborates with the surgeon and RN to deliver patient care before, during and after surgery.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent and a Surgical Technician training program, plus 2–3 years of experience. Certifications and scheduling details align with the unit’s needs and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician training program.
• 2–3 years of experience in a surgical setting.
• Proficient in scrubbing multiple service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Member of the surgical team under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Collaborates with the surgeon and RN to deliver patient care before, during, and after surgery.
• Supports appropriate responsibilities and multitasking in a fast-paced OR environment.
