Job summary
Jersey City Medical Center is seeking an OR Tech I to join the Operating Room team. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will scrub and assist with surgical cases across service lines, contributing to safe patient care before, during and after procedures.
Required: high school diploma or equivalent, Surgical Technician training, and NBSTSA certification with current BLS. 2–3 years of OR support experience; excellent communication and multitasking skills; day shift 7:00 am–3:00 pm,
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Surgical Technician training program.
- 2–3 years of experience. Must scrub robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team under RN direction and scrub in multiple service lines.
- Prepare and deliver instruments, maintain sterile field, and support post-operative care.
