Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an OR Tech I to join Jersey City Medical Center's Operating Room team. You will assist the surgeon and RN during procedures, scrub for diverse service lines and help maintain a sterile, safe environment.

The role requires a Surgical Technician program, NBSTSA and BLS certifications, plus 2–3 years of experience. Shifts are 7:00 am–3:00 pm, full time with alternating weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and surgical tech training.
• 2–3 years of surgical experience with scrub roles across multiple service lines.
• Certified Surgical Technician and BLS are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and RN during operative procedures.
• Scrub for robotics, vascular, neurovascular, orthopedics and other cases.
• Maintain sterile field, multitask and ensure patient care safety.
