Job summary

Jersey City Medical Center is seeking an OR Tech I to join the Operating Room team on a day shift. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, assisting the surgeon and RN during surgery and preparing the sterile field.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, completed a Surgical Technician program, and 2–3 years of experience scrubbing across multiple service lines. Strong communication and the ability to multitask are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and Surgical Technician training completed.
• 2–3 years of experience; scrubbing across multiple service lines such as robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to multitask and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care during surgical procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist surgeon and team with sterile technique, equipment and room setup.
