Job summary

Froedtert Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to join the team and support patient care within the surgical services. You will work with the surgical team to ensure patient goals are met and participate in assigned duties across the department.

The role requires completing an accredited ST program or Froedtert Health apprentice II, plus BLS certification. Schedule includes 3x12 shifts with on-call responsibilities; FTE is .9.

Qualifications

• Post high school education, certification or diploma required.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider or equivalent within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
• Rotating 3x12 schedule (0630-1900) with on-call required.

Job Summary

As a member of the healthcare team, collaborates with the surgical team to provide care for patient insuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION

The Surgical Technologist is a recent graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist (ST) program or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program. Has less than one year of experience as an ST.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post high school education, certification or diploma required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, completion of Military Operating Room Specialist course or the Froedtert Health sponsored apprentice II program required.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
