Froedtert Health's MENOMONEE FALLS SURGERY CENTER is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care within the nursing process, aligned to physician plans and ambulatory surgery center policies.

The role emphasizes patient safety, cost containment, and teamwork with supportive colleagues in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. A Wisconsin RN license and BLS/ACLS are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice as required for RN licensure.
• Two years of nursing education or equivalent is required.
• Current Wisconsin RN license or multi-state license.
• BLS is required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care using the nursing process.
• Align care objectives with physician plans and patient needs.
• Support department efficiency and cost containment.
• Perform related duties as needed to maintain unit operations.

Job Summary

Provides direct and indirect nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, determining the objectives of nursing care within the framework of the physician's plan of medical care, the patient's needs, standards of nursing practice, legal regulations and ambulatory surgery centre policies and procedures. He/she will perform other related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, as well as quality of performance.

Experience Description

A minimum of 1 year in Med/Surg, ambulatory surgery, PACU, or OR nursing is preferred.

Education Description

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Licensure Description

Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
