Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist (Non-Certified) to assist in the Main Operating Room, Kennestone, in a Day shift (5x8’s, 7a-3p plus Call). The role supports the health care team under a nurse, ensuring safe, age-appropriate patient care and sterile technique.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and BLS certification; 1+ year scrub tech experience preferred. The position includes duties from room setup to assisting with instrument handling, patient transport, and

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• At least 1 year scrub tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the health care team in safe, age-appropriate patient care.
• Prepare sterile field and instruments, maintain sterile technique.
• Support surgeons and nurses during procedures and post-operative activities.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and stay compliant with policies.
