Job summary

Memorial Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room. This full-time day shift role (6:45am - 3:15pm) includes scrub duties, instrument handling, and aseptic practice with opportunities for clinical ladder advancement.

Requirements include completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience, current CPR, and preferred Surgical Technologist certification. On-site work with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or relevant Surgical Technologist experience is REQUIRED.
Completion of Anatomy and Physiology classes preferred.
High School graduate or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

Performs duties in capacity of “scrub” technologist as prescribed by hospital policies and procedures.
Sets room for routine procedures with supplies and equipment in 5-15 minutes.
Sets room for complicated or multi-procedure cases in 30 minutes.
Assists circulator in checking equipment.
Assists in obtaining supplies prior to bringing patient to room.
Maintains basic knowledge of instrumentation and its use.
Organizes and maintains sterile tables and trays.
Assists in orientation of new personnel.
Participates in updating surgeon’s preference list and disaster plans.
