Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Non-Certified to support the surgical team during moderate to high acuity cases. You will prepare the operative field, pass instruments, and ensure sterile technique under the direction of a registered nurse.

Shifts are evenings: 10:45am-7:15pm or 9:15pm, with 4x10 hour or 5x8 hour options. Requires high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited program; BLS is required on hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS certification required upon hire; Surgical Tech certification preferred.
• Completion of accredited program or LPN required; operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operative suite and sterile field.
• Set up sterile table with instruments, supplies, and medications.
• Scrub, gown, and glove surgeon and assistants; maintain sterile technique.
• Pass instruments to surgeon during the procedure and anticipate needs.
• Assist in draping sterile field and instrument handling.
• Assist in room turnover, stocking, and equipment readiness.
