Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree or Vocational Certification in Surgical Technology required (Ohio Labor and Delivery unit exception).
• Certified through NBSTSA or NCCT required.
• CPR/BLS required, must have or complete certification within 6 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with care, preparation, and maintenance of sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment.
• Maintains open communication with the surgical team for a collaborative environment.
• Assists in training and orientation of students and new staff.
• Complies with hospital policies to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Attends educational programs and maintains required certifications.
• Takes call per policy and procedure.
• Performs operating room techniques and asepsis as part of surgical technology training.
